How to Get Eternal Life?

Eternal life is easy. It is promised by believing in Jesus. Believing means that Jesus is the Son of God, who died on the cross for all our sins, and rose back to life on the third day. If you believe that, you have eternal life. But is eternal life the same as going to the Kingdom of Heaven?

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
John 3:16–18

Jesus didn't come to tell us we were going to hell, but to be the intermediary between us and the Father. Giving us a saving hope and promise that we could return to our Creator.

When Do You Get Eternal Life?

25 And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life.
1 John 2:25 ESV

Do we get eternal life now or after death? Believing in Jesus gives us the promise of eternal life. Through faith we know that we will have eternal life upon death. Good look at the greek here

13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
Ephesians 1:13-14

The Holy Spirit seals the guarantee of our inheritance. hey John 3:6

24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
John 5:24

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6

Eternal life is given after death. When is death? For many, death is the physical death, but I do believe it is possible for us to "die to self". If we do this while we are on Earth then we will be born of the spirit.

Can You Lose Eternal Life?

You can't lose something that is eternal.

How can we have the helmet of salvation if we are always worried that our sin will send us to hell?
