How to Get Spiritual Energy?

While leading worship at a conference, we transitioned into a time of healing and deliverance. Among the crowd, a man in his 20s wearing a blue hoodie stood out. Instantly, I knew the Holy Spirit wanted me to pray for him. Preemptively, I prayed to Jesus, asking Him to make me a light in the darkness and to increase my brightness. We finished the last song, and I looked over to see that my friend was already praying over the man. I weaved my way through the crowd to the other side of the stage. Confident in the brightness the Lord had granted me, I touched the man on his lower back. He shot up, exclaiming that it felt like electricity had surged through his body. At first, I thought I had made him uncomfortable, but he asked me to lay hands on him and keep praying for him. He just wanted to be free, and that night, he was.

What is Energy?

12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12 ESV

Jesus, the Word of God, is alive and active. Active = ἐνεργὴς = energenes = to work, or create an effect. This word literally translates from the Greek to "at work". The definition of energy from physics is:

"the ability to do work, which is the ability to exert a force causing displacement of an object.” Despite this confusing definition, its meaning is very simple: energy is just the force that causes things to move.

What is the Word of God?

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14 And the Word became (took on) flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:1 & 1:14 ESV

The Word of God is Jesus and encompasses everything in the universe. Everything in our conceivable imagination dwells in the Word of God, the physical realm, the spiritual realm, and the multiverse. This highlights how infinitely vast and omnipresent God is.

This concept can be likened to the scientific mystery surrounding dark matter. The law of gravity has a significant problem: we can only account for 15% of the gravity in the universe. The remaining 85% is considered "dark matter".

Dark matter is the mysterious stuff that fills the universe but no one has ever seen.

We only assume it exists because, without it, the behavior of stars, planets, and galaxies simply wouldn't make sense.

Conversely, there is a pseudo-scientific theory called the "Electric Universe Theory".

The basic claim of the Electric Universe model is that much of the astronomical phenomena observed in the universe is driven by electrical interactions rather than gravitational ones.

It's a fascinating idea, but unfortunately not provable (yet). Though it would work so well with the Word of God being energy.

The Word of God is the entire universe and can be visualized as a living, piercing force like a ball of lightning that interacts with our soul, spirit, and flesh. This is the profound and pervasive nature of God's Word, influencing and sustaining all aspects of existence.

Understanding the Word of God as Jesus and the entirety of the universe emphasizes the omnipresence and omnipotence of God. This perspective aligns with both biblical and scientific wonders, suggesting that the mysteries of the universe, like dark matter and the theories of cosmic interactions, reflect the incomprehensible vastness of God's creation. It invites us to see the divine in every aspect of our existence, bridging faith and the quest for knowledge.

With Energy Comes Power

46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I perceive that power has gone out from me.”
Luke 8:46 ESV

After a long day at the office, you come home, relax on the couch, and "power on" the TV. That power is not a physical power, but an electrical power, an energy. You cannot have power without energy, and if you take away the energy, you take away the power. It only makes sense that the Word of God in human form would be full of energy and therefore power.

How Do We Get Spiritual Energy?

  1. Faith
  2. Love
  3. Holy Spirit
  4. Pray for It
  5. Reading and Meditating on the Word of God
  6. Positive Vibes, Positive People, and Complimenting Others
  7. Living a Righteous Life and Serving Others
  8. Admire Gods Creation - Watch the Sunrise, Feel the Grass In Your Toes

There are also evil ways that people (energy vampires) steal spiritual energy:

  1. Through sexual and emotional abuse.
  2. Through cursing others.
    • This can be as small as someone saying, "He's not going to get an A on that test." Reject that immediately.
  3. Through occult rituals by creating demonic contracts.
    • Don't worry. You won't accidentally do this as it usually requires killing something. These require continuous sacrifices.
  4. Through occult rituals by trying to control/trap demons and elemental spirits.
    • Also usually requires making a sacrifice of some kind.
  5. Demon Possession
    • Certain demons will live symbiotically, though close to parasitically, in a person's flesh, trading some of their dark energy in exchange for living vicariously through the host's sinful pleasures. These people tend to speak negatively, lie, and curse others often, as well as having some dark habits.

How Do We Activate the Spiritual Energy?

48 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.”
Luke 8:48

  1. Faith
    • Needed to be able to use the spiritual energy inside of us, like the woman from Luke 8.
    • Circularly, the more faith we have, the more spiritual energy we will have.
    • Faith is an abstract term; how can we use faith to heal others? It starts off with believing and knowing that the prayer you ask, God will answer.
    • If you lack faith, keep a prayer journal. Pray for things and identify when God answers those prayers to build your faith. Keep track of how quickly your prayers get answered.
  2. Pray with Imagination in the Name of Jesus
    • Direct this faith with your mind and the words of your prayer.
    • Use your imagination:
      • Imagine the cancer shrinking.
      • Imagine the cells getting restored.
      • Imagine the bone being fused back together by the Holy Spirit.
      • Imagine a purifying fire from God burning up virus cells.
      • Imagine their body restored.

When I'm praying over people, I pray for a cleansing and healing holy fire over the affected area and any area the Holy Spirit tells me to touch and pray for. I usually ask people afterward if they felt anything; most say heat, some electricity, some tingling. It's generally a good idea to ask so you can mentally keep track of things you might have done differently.
